Hiking in Singapore: 7 Scenic routes to stroll through the weekend

Good exercise, great views, and inexpensive! What better way to spend your weekend in Singapore than hiking in the great outdoors?

Hiking and Singapore: these aren’t necessarily two words you often hear in the same sentence.

Although we’re a tropical island, Singapore’s urban landscape doesn’t resonate with open space for nature strolls and hikes. Instead, our hiking habits are often confined to long distance walks in Orchard Road when jumping between malls (okay, but this is pretty tiring too, right?)

However, there is a whole world of hiking here in Singapore waiting to be explored. If you’re looking for alternative weekend plans, hiking is a great way to spend quality time with your loved ones, get some exercise, enjoy scenic views, and – better yet – inexpensive. What could be better?

Our gallery above gives you the location, duration, distance and difficulty level, for some of our favourite hiking spots in Singapore. Check them out and make plans to sweat it out on a good hike this weekend!
