Step Up, Speak Out! – Dementia & Young Caregivers
When: Saturday, 1 April; 10am - 1pm

Where: The Hub Singapore, 128 Prinsep Street #01-01

Why: This interactive outreach event targeted at members of the community aged 39 and below aims to kickstart panel discussions centering around dementia and how it can impact on the lives of younger caregivers. If you or someone you know has questions about dementia, would like to know how to support young caregivers at work/school, or would like general tips on wellbeing and finding a balance between caregiving responsibilities and other aspects of your life, this event is for you. Ola Beach Party
When: Friday, 31 March; 7:30 - 10:30pm

Tokyo / Scrapbooking Session

Where: JAPAN RAIL CAFE, 5 Wallich Street, #01-20

Why: If you’ve been to the wonderful city of Tokyo, you’re invited to share your travel experience with the community through this scrapbooking initiative! Make some memorabilia art at the JAPAN RAIL CAFE using your accumulated photos, printed media and artworks, and have your masterpiece displayed at the cafe. Decode Skin Sensitivity with Experts

Ink Masters Series: Beauty of Ink (Lecture 1 of 4)
When: Sunday, 2 April; 3 - 5pm

Where: National Gallery Singapore, The Ngee Ann Kongsi Auditorium (City Hall Wing, Level B1)

Why: Made up of 4 upcoming lectures at the National Gallery Singapore featuring renowned local scholars and experts in the field, this series will explore ink as a medium and form of expression. Conducted in Mandarin (and translated into English), the first of the lectures provides attendees with insights into the basic techniques and principles of Chinese ink painting, while looking at subjects that vary from flora and fauna to landscapes and figures.

As the month of April swings into view, we see the wrapping up of some major events and initiatives, including the spectacular i Light Marina Bay festival. However, things aren’t slowing down for Singapore.

Art lovers will still get to engage in some creative events, like the Tokyo / Scrapbooking Session at JAPAN RAIL CAFE this Sunday, as well as an intriguing lecture on Chinese ink paintings at the National Gallery Singapore. For avid beach-goers, there’ll be an awesome beach party taking place at Ola Beach Club on Sentosa this Friday.
