This hidden gem is actually run by a Shanghai-born husband and Malaysian wife duo. We absolutely love their Salted Egg Yolk Softshell Crab (RM22) - a mouthwatering fresh softshell crab in a crispy batter, salted egg yolk, curry leaves and chilli padi. End off your hearty meal here with their dessert selection - one of their must-try dishes is the crispy and sweet Chinese Lotus Pancakes.

The aptly named Mee Tarik restaurant (translates to 'pulled noodles') specialises in the traditional 'lamian' noodles - a traditional hand-pulled noodle that traces it roots to Lanzhou, China. The restaurant's Chinese-Muslim founder, Mr. Hassan, brought the recipe to Malaysia five years ago, delighting the tastebuds of Malaysians with the unparalleled flavours. The freshly made noodles are smooth and chewy, and typically served with beef, mutton or chicken either in a hearty soupy broth or stir-fried. Also worth trying are their tasty side dishes like the braised beef and fried fungus!
