Workaholics dying to pamper yourself amidst your jam-packed schedule, this is for you.

Remember those days when going for a manicure meant having to free up hours just to make a trip all the way down to the nail parlour to plant yourself on a luxurious velvet armchair just for a pristine set of nails? That is, while your inbox ridiculously multiples from being left unattended, and the cold hard truth that the nails will chip in a matter of days from all the paper work in the office sinks in. To all you workaholics out there, we feel you. Which is why we are beyond thrilled about Striplac’s Peel-Off UV Nail Polish.

For those who swear by gelish nails for their durability, but sigh at thought of the hassle of soaking-off treatments, this Peel-Off UV Nail Polish is definitely the nail polish for you. It is able to withstand scratches, and whenever you’re tired of the colour, Striplac can simply be peeled off, leaving your nails healthy and unharmed – how convenient is that? However, having said that, Striplac’s top selling point that sealed the deal for us was its ability to be cured in only 60 seconds. Talk about efficiency!

Too good to be true? We thought so too – that’s why we headed down to try it for ourselves!

Our verdict:

Application: Just like normal nail polish, applying the base coat, colour and top coat after buffering is fairly easy. The only difference is that you have to cure and instantly dry each coat after painting it by placing your hand in the mini LED device (which comes as part of the Starter Kit) for 60 seconds.

Result: This is where the major difference is! After finishing, our nails looked shiny and neat and most importantly were chip and scratch-proof. Yes, you read it right – what we loved most about the Striplac Peel-Off nail polish is that it is completely convenient and accident-proof so you don’t have to worry about getting your hands dirty afterwards.

Durability: While on the packaging it is advised to leave the nail polish on for 10 days and then peel it off, we left it for a week. Taking it off was fairly easy too and if you’re extra worried you can purchase the special solution to apply on the edges and make peeing it off a breeze. And yes, apart from the growth, our nail polish looked as good on day 7 as it did when we first applied it so we couldn’t ask for more!

Striplac Peel-Off UV Nail Polish is available from February 2014 onwards, at all Sephora stores island-wide.
