What to expect from Ocean Park Hong Kong’s biggest summer Carribbean bash

If you’re headed to Hong Kong soon, hear us out. The land of the sparkling skylines and scrumptious dim sum will be hosting its biggest summer festival, the Summer Carnimal, at the iconic Ocean Park!

From now until 2 September 2018, Hong Kong’s unique home-grown theme park will host an electrifying Carribean-style summer fiesta with animal-themed parades, authentic Caribbean and South American cultural shows, synchronised swimming performances, water parks, and more. In short, it’s the perfect family-friendly extravaganza.

Caribbean-style Fiestas

Taking centre stage are the Caribbean Summer Parade and Caribbean Summer Night Parade, where you’ll get to feast your eyes on performers in colourful and creative costumes themed after wildlife, alongside stilt walkers and energetic musicians. Come dusk, they’ll change into light-up costumes for a whole new illuminating parade experience!

Splash Away at the Whiskers Wet & Foam Bash

Other must-visit attractions within the Summer Carnimal include the Whiskers Wet & Foam Bash, where families can splash away the heat and cool down with colourful fountains and water screen arches.

Michelin-starred Chinese cuisine & Caribbean-style Delicacies

If all the adrenaline gets you hungry, you can choose to eat your way through delicious Chinese cuisine at the Exquisite Summer Delicacies selection, where guests can choose from over 100 delectable summer dishes.

These include a Chinese menu designed by Michelin-starred chef Chan Kwok-keung, as well as a selection of Caribbean-style summer food and drink specialities. Some menu highlights include Pan-fried Iberico pork rack with pineapple mint salsa, tiger-prawns with pomelo and peach salad, and tomato gazpacho with grilled shrimp skewers.

DJ BEATS

Music buffs will also appreciate the Chill Out Sessions every Friday and Saturday night from 8.30 to 11.00PM, featuring a DJ party Burning Beats.

Whether you’re up for festival food, electrifying parades, or a chill out session with great beats, there’s clearly something for everyone at Ocean Park Hong Kong’s summer fiesta.
