Have a picnic at King’s Park
Head on over to King's Park and have a picnic whilst overlooking Perth's beautiful cityscape and swan river. They also have a mini museum dedicated to the Aboriginals of Western Australia hidden in the park as well as a memorial wall.

Take an Instagram-worthy shot at the blue boat house
The Crawley Edge Boatshed has been quite popular amongst Instagrammers the past few years and it's no wonder why. This solo boat house dubbed "the blue boathouse" does seem beautiful on its own. If you're a photography enthusiast, this is definitely a must go!

Cottesloe Beach
Fancy a day out to the beach? Surrounded by surf bars and cafes, Cottesloe Beach is the beach to head to for a little fun in the sun. Ride the waves on a surfboard if you're feeling particularly brave.

Shopping trip in Perth City
Who doesn't love shopping? Head over to Perth City and do your much-awaited shopping. Packed with malls, street markets and restaurants, there's plenty to splurge on without breaking a sweat as Perth City is the place to be for every shopperholic out there.

Fremantle Port
After checking out the sights and sounds of Perth, hop on a bus or get yourself a car and drive down to Fremantle habour. Filled with museums and fresh seafood restaurants, you won't run out of fun things to do over here.

Fremantle’s famous fish and chips
Of course while you're still at Fremantle, you have to go to Cicerello's Landing and have a basket of their famous fish and chips! Watch out for the seagulls though, it only takes a second for you to be distracted enough for them to steal a fish out of your basket.

Catch a ferry to Rottnest Island
Rottnest Island, just a 25 minute ferry ride from Fremantle, has to be on your list. If crowded beaches aren't your thing, you would love it here. Cycle around the island, grab a quick swim, or put up at a lodge for a BBQ dinner, and if you're particularly lucky, you might catch sight of one of the many quokkas that freely roam around.

Caversham Wildlife Park
Why not take a trip up to Caversham Wildlife Park for the opportunity to take a photo with a sleepy wombat and koala, or be amongst beautiful kangaroos. Apart from the animals above, Caversham Wildlife Park is also home to emus, Tasmanian devils and many other fascinating creatures. What's more, they also have a barn within the vicinity with sheeps and cows. Wouldn't you like to know what milking a cow is like?

Sandalford Winery, Swan Valley
Once you're done surrounding yourself with the wildlife, head on up to the various vineyards located in Swan Valley. With a large range of wines available at affordable prices, you will never want to leave.

White sand dunes in Lancelin
Fancy a day out for some sand boarding? Drive on up to Lancelin for some fun in the sun. Beautiful white sand dunes surround a beach - this is where all the action is at! This beautiful place is frequented by the locals, so you won't be surrounded by tourists here. So grab a board and blend in because this will definitely be a place you'll never forget!

Perth, capital of Western Australia, has been the talk of town for a long time now. With plenty of us Southeast Asians heading over there to work and study, we have decided to come up with a list of 10 things that would entice the explorer in you to book the next ticket out of here.

Apart from being home to gorgeous vineyards, what else do we really know about this beautiful city? Whether you’re an adventure buff, animal lover, party goer, food blogger or a plain ol’ beach bum, Perth has plenty to offer. Easily similar to Singapore in size and surroundings, it’s no wonder Perth has seen a sudden influx of Singaporeans settling down there. Well, that and of course the four seasons Perth has – who doesn’t love winter in June?

Home to the internationally regarded Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts at Edith Cowan University from which many successful actors and broadcasters have launched their careers, Perth has also been playing a huge part in the arts and culture scene – a plus point for all those who are into the scene. They have held numerous festivals to date, such as the Perth International Arts Festival, a festival that has been around since 1953, the Soundwave music festival, and The Perth International Comedy Festival.
