Slow down your pace in this once-forgotten country of devoted Buddhists, and find out what it has to offer from its past and present.

As a country that is currently opening itself up to the world, now is as good a time as any to visit Myanmar. From the high surges in their tourism levels in 2012 and 2013, it is evident that many are starting to discover the myriad of gems in this country.

Most have an inkling of Myanmar through its thanaka-wearing and betel-chewing people and they are indeed lovely people with kind hearts, which makes travelling and getting around an absolute pleasure.

The beauty of this Southeast Asian country is also manifested through the natural and built landscapes. Many temples, both old and gold-gilded, abound in this Buddhist nation, and the people’s reverence for their religion is distinctly and remarkably refreshing.

From relaxing boat trips along the tranquil Inle Lake, to new beach destinations like Ngapali Beach, prepare to be pleasantly surprised by what the once little known country will reward you with.
