Bask in the beauty and benefits of the king of oils with these additions to your routine.

When we think of jasmine, we cannot help but think of the amazing aroma it carries. Not only is the scent calming but incredibly invigorating for the senses as well. Also known as the king of oils, jasmine has been used in beauty and skincare routines for centuries. This is due to its nourishing, moisturizing and soothing properties which can help to protect the skin against premature aging. From healing blemish scars to hydrating our skin, here are some of our favourite beauty uses of this energizing scent.

HEAL BLEMISH SCARS

Jasmine is a great ingredient in helping to heal scars be it due to acne, injury wounds or even stretch marks. Simply mix 1 to 2 drops of jasmine oil to your oil-free moisturizer of your choice and mix well before massaging into your face. This concoction can even be used at night as a nourishing treatment to repair your skin while you sleep.

HYDRATES SKIN

If your list of skin concerns include dry and scabby looking skin, jasmine can be used to restore the moisture levels of your skin, reducing dryness. It is also packed with antibacterial properties to help protect your skin’s immunity. Lather up for long-lasting hydration.

CLARIFIES SKIN

Extracts of jasmine have been long studied for their antiseptic properties. It can be used to soothe and cleanse the skin. Due to its tonicity, it works well as a toner. Simply, spray a mixture of jasmine with green tea all over your face or saturate a cotton ball into this mixture and swipe over skin. Once the mixture has set on your face, proceed on with moisturizing your skin. This DIY toner is a great perk-me-up to keep your face feeling cool and hydrated all day long.
