It seems that H&M has decided to go all out with their next CNY campaign.

H&M has revealed to us time and again that they know just how to style up their Chinese New Year campaigns. For the 2016 campaign, the brand played on consumers’ love for Let’s Fall in Love co-stars Choi Siwon and Liu Wen, making them the face of the specially designed 2016 collection – and they definitely looked stunning together. This year, H&M brings international Chinese actress Fan Bingbing and fellow actor (and fiancé) Li Chen into the big picture, teasing us with an image from the campaign shoot through the lens of fashion photographer Chen Man.

Fittingly, this campaign aims to portray the love and joy that comes hand-in-hand with celebrating the festive occasion with family and loved ones. After Fan and Li confirmed their relationship via Weibo in May 2016, they are now engaged and clearly happy to take on collaborative projects together as a couple.

Fan Bingbing expresses happiness over new campaign

The highly successful Fan, who has starred in a whole slew of films and television shows over the years, and has notably topped the Forbes China Celebrity 100 list in 2013 and 2015, expressed her delight in being the face of the new H&M campaign. “I am very happy to front H&M’s 2017 Chinese New Year campaign with Li Chen,” she has said. “During the Spring Festival, everyone wants to stand out in style when the streets are awash in auspicious red. We hope that our campaign with H&M encapsulates the style and happiness that the Year of the Rooster brings”.

The H&M Chinese New Year 2017 collection will launch exclusively in 9 Asian markets: Singapore, Malaysia, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau, Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines. Look out for it in stores from January 2017.
