Who doesn’t love a new makeup launch, especially when it comes to palettes? Palettes are such multi-functional products that can be easily transported and used to create a variety of looks. Over the years, we have seen how the trend for eyeshadow palettes eventually evolved to take on a range of other makeup staples including contour, highlight and even blush palettes.
Every season, we see several makeup palettes making their debut and this year is no different. Although most of Southeast Asia faces sticky tropical climate all year round, it does not stop us from experimenting with spring, summer or even winter trends. This season, we will see the release of some exciting new palettes. What we love about palettes these days is the amount of thought that goes into the packaging (does it look good?), the innovation of the products (will it do the job well?), and the colour selection (is there enough variety?). We are seeing less 101 colour palettes and more concentrated 3-9 pan maximum products with a sensible colour range, which is good news as we then won’t have to let those unnatural shades like neon blue and electric yellow go to waste.
