Finally – FANCL’s new Mild Cleansing Oil is actually eyelash extensions-friendly

It might just be one of – if not our favourite – cleansing oils to date.

When we caught whiff of news that FANCL had introduced a newly-reformulated version of its cult classic Mild Cleansing Oil this year, we were admittedly a little apprehensive.

We liked the original after all, and the series of new formulas that has followed since it was first introduced in the ’90s. So we thought, could this new formula truly meet some makeup-removal need we didn’t know we were missing?

As it turns out, yes.

Unless you’ve been living under the rock, you’d know the late 2010s are all about budge-proof, water-proof makeup. Think long-wear foundations, ultra-matte liquid lipsticks, highly-pigmented cream contours – you name it. Which, as good as they look in pictures, can be a challenge to completely remove at night.

Long-wear makeup are formulated with finer particles that, though boast of stronger adhesive abilities, also unfortunately stick to your skin. Yes, despite your diligent cleansing rituals.

Which is why FANCL has re-launched and reformulated its bestselling oil to precisely address this shift in makeup. Without delving too much into the science of it, this new oil formula helps dissolves stubborn keratotic plugs (i.e. those bumps that never come to a head on your skin), penetrates deep into your pores to remove all grime and makeup residue (with its latest Nano Cleansing Technology) – while all feeling wondrously moisturising and hydrating on the skin.

How it works: simply pump the oil onto your dry palms and massage it onto your skin in circular motion and watch as all your makeup slides off. In fact, we’ve tested it on our pool of notoriously ‘heavy duty’ makeup, like Estee Lauder’s Double Wear foundation and even MAC’s Ruby Woo.

Verdict? It melted right off.

Its other perks? It’s also perfecly suited to use on eyelash extensions, which as we know, is also another beauty treatment that has taken off in popularity; not just here in Asia, but also around the world.

So if you’re looking for a new cleansing oil that feels delightful creamy and gentle on the skin, removes every trace of stubborn makeup, and is also suitable for use on eyelash extensions, we’d definitely recommend picking up a bottle of the new FANCL Mild Cleansing Oil.

The FANCL Mild Cleansing Oil retails at SGD30 and is available at various locations around Singapore, including Isetan Scotts, Westgate, 313@Somerset and more.
