Add incredible dimension to your eyes with these contouring shadows.

We have all heard about contouring for your face, nose and even your neck (a trend that surfaced last year). Now, more makeup brands are coming out with eye contouring palettes which will not only help to enhance the shape of your eyes but also help to add depth and create the illusion of bigger looking peepers.

One such brand is Kate Tokyo, which is all set to release KATE Forming Edge Eyes, an eyeshadow palette especially suited for Asian eyes. Upon first look, you’ll notice that the palette consists of shadows in a unique formation. It makes use of the vertical gradation technique, allowing you apply the shades to your eyelid easily from the inner to the outer corner. Each KATE Forming Edge Eye kit features a shiny highlighter shade, glamorous 3D enhancing shade, and a colorfast dark shade. A mini tutorial is also available to help make the process easier.

Eye contouring may be a fairly new trend to come to Asia, but it has been practiced for eons now, right from the times of the Ancient Egyptians, who used kohl to contour the shape of their eyes. With shadows, you’ll have to be lighted-handed to avoid creating too much of a hollow. If you have naturally deep set eyes, opt to use brown or mauve shadows to lightly contour instead.

Head over to the gallery above for a round-up of steps to follow to achieve beautifully contoured eyes using the KATE Forming Edge Eye kit.

The KATE Spring/ Summer 2016 Collection is available from May 2015 onwards.
