Since we’re always in search of the latest haircare tips and tricks, here’s one to add to your list.

In recent weeks, the beauty addicts have discovered a healing technique called ‘Reverse Shampoo,’ which is essentially a budget tip on how to use some of your bathroom products in different ways.

How does it work?

Apply your mask (or hair conditioner) to dry hair, just before your shower. With this technique, you get 100% effectiveness as it is more active on dry hair. This is a much simpler step (it saves you from waiting in your shower with the mask) and is often practiced in the living room.

Treat your hair differently

Leaving your treatment in for 30 minutes before showering or even all night (for very damaged/ thick hair), lets your hair absorb it to the maximum. When washing with shampoo, use less of it. Thus, you avoid weighing down your hair from unnecessary product.

For fans of the capillary technique, you can also find two other trends:

The low poo : We forget the care and washing and go directly after shampooing to massages. By alternating your shampoos with this technique, your hair will be less damaged.
Tip: It is important to choose a silicone-free product for this technique.

The No Poo: Ban shampoos permanently to give way to more natural treatments. End the aggression of silicones by rinsing your hair with only clear water. While we like the idea, we remain skeptical about the power of washing your hair with water and without shampoo.
