Frustrated that your beauty oil isn’t doing wonders for you? Perhaps these common beauty oil mistakes are standing in between you and flawless skin.

Facial beauty oils have taken over the world of skincare in the last few years. Contrary to popular belief using a facial oil will not make your skin more oily. However there are some common beauty mistakes that you may tend to make, preventing you from reaping the full benefits of the oils.

One mistake is to apply facial oil on top of skin which has not beenproperly cleansed. This forms a barrier which prevents the oil from absorbing fully. As a result, your face appears to be more oily and may even cause breakouts. The best way to apply your oil in this case is to do a double cleanse after removing your makeup. If you are using micellar water to remove your makeup, go in with your face cleanser to remove any remaining residues. Beauty oils are best applied on surfaces where your skin has been freshly stripped of a little moisture.
