Don’t throw out your unused lip brush just yet because there are so many functions to this little beauty tool. We show you how to make it multitasking!

If you’ve got a lip brush stashed away deep in your makeup bag and wonder if you should throw it out (since you never use it anyway), don’t. There are multiple ways you can use a lip brush, and we’re about to walk you through how you can make the most out of your forgotten beauty tool.

LIPS

Going by the obvious function of a lip brush, the tool is best for when you’re running out of your favourite lipstick and can’t quite put the bullet to your lips anymore now that it’s almost gone. Use the brush to reach into the remaining amount in the tube so you get maximum wear of your lipstick before getting a new one. You can also use it to blend colours together to create a new shade, or an ombre effect on the lips.

FACE

Use a clean lip brush to pick up concealer and apply on small blemishes that require more TLC. Using a small brush and a light hand will concentrate the coverage on parts that need it most, so you don’t attract unwanted attention to the area.

EYES

A flat lip brush can also apply eyeliner with more delicate details. Whether you’re creating a subtle wing or a dramatic Arabian look by extending your liner on the tear duct, a brush as small as your lip brush can do the job perfectly. It’s also great for applying bright, shimmery shadow on the inner corner of the eye.

Remember to clean the pigment out between uses by using makeup wipes or anti-bacterial wet wipes to avoid unwanted colour transfer.

So don’t throw out your lip brush just yet – you’ll be wasting a perfectly good multi-functional makeup tool!
