If like us, you’re looking to wake up to a healthier, more radiant complexion then you might want to give the latest skincare range from Etude House a try!

Even for those of us who follow the strictest beauty regimens and healthy diets there are times when getting that inner radiance to show on our faces can become a legitimate issue. Young or old, we all want to retain a healthy, youthful glow and this often becomes a challenge with humid hot weather that leads to issues of oily pores, patchy skin tone and additionally, exposure to UV rays becomes a big hindrance to achieving the perfect skin.

Leading Korean make up and skincare brand Etude House has launched yet another coveted skincare range, to help us, hopefully once and for all, overcome this daily struggle.

The Pearl Aura Collection is part of the two new skincare ranges that the beauty brand has released to help retain your skin’s natural radiance and youthfulness. This particular series includes a two-step process, where you use the Pearl Aura Brightening Essence followed by the Pearl Aura Brightening Lotion in order to accelerate your skin’s rejuvenation process and promote luminosity.

We test it out to find out!

How does it work?

Through the fermentation of natural plants, deep sea water and infusion of amino acids, antioxidants marine minerals and a unique blend of Tahitian black pearls (“The Gift of God”), the products in the series are meant to improve the condition of the skin and refine skin tone.

Pearl Aura Brightening Essence (approx. USD27 for 100ml):

This light essence is the first step in the Pearl Aura series beauty process. It is supple and utterly refreshing, much like having your face spritzered. Apply about two pumps and lather it generously around your face working from the inner to the outer areas. It is meant to act as a pore minimizer and will create a luminous film – in preparation for the application of the second step in the series.

Pearl Aura Brightening Lotion (approx. USD20  for 100ml):

Unlike most facial lotions, this one is less dense and hydrates the skin almost as immediately as you start rubbing it in. Apply the lotion generously and don’t spare a single area. As an extra beauty tip, to ensure you completely even out your skin tone, lather some onto your neck in upward stroking motions. It is especially helpful on your T-Zone area and as it promises, provides long-lasting moisture.

Our Verdict:

Living in an Asian society where fairness is equated with better standards of beauty, I have always been very conscious about my skin tone. Since I get tanned very easily, I have to work extra hard to get my skin colour balanced. I have tried a series of whitening creams and I have to say, this range not only helped even out my skin tone but even added a glow to my face – so that effectively ticks off the ‘luminosity’ aspect. I applied the essence and the lotion twice daily and every second night, I would sleep with it on my face. Since I have sensitive skin, I can safely say it is a light cream and causes absolutely no discomfort or burning sensation. I even noticed that my pores were looking less open after regular application. If you want to achieve a healthy looking complexion in no more than two weeks of regular use, you certainly can’t go wrong with this range! My skin already feels brighter, firmer and smoother.
