With severe blunt bobs, chiseled cheekbones and bright lips, the models at Chanel sought to deliver a futuristic vibe at the show.

While all eyes were no doubt darting across the art deco-inspired casino set during Chanel’s Fall 2015 couture show, the beauty looks were not slighted over either.

Trotting down in an almost mechanic fashion, the models were not only bedecked in the French luxury houses’s brilliantl finery for the season but were also fitted out in stark, blunt-cut wigs in jet black – crafted by mane extraordinaire, Sam McKnight. Similarly severe were the contoured cheekbones (akin to the 80s trend), strong, dark brows and bright pops of colour on the lips, all of which served to inject a hint of futuristic sharpness.

Using products from the Hydra Beauty range, the makeup artists gave models bright and radiant complexions that looked positively healthy. Tom Pecheux further accentuated the intense looks with matte lipsticks using either Le Crayon Levres Rouge Profond N°57 and Rouge Allure Velvet La Bouleversante N°51 – from the Fall 2015 collection – before brushing on vibrant blushers.

As for the eyes, they were kept releatively underdressed with the focus only falling on the filled-in and arched eyebrows. Finally, the nails were also kept fairly simple by featuring a twist on the classic French manicure, with white nails and black tips that go in line with the luxury brand’s iconic colours.

At the end of the day, we can always trust Lagerfeld to go full circle with his concept – even down to the makeup.
