Makeup Rules: Celebrities who prove less is indeed more

In makeup, some looks don’t work for everyone. These people prove that less is more when it comes to dolling up your face.

“Less is more” is a saying people should take more seriously – especially on the red carpet

Behind the flashing cameras, stars continuously try to reinvent themselves to attract all the attention. But in the midst of their gowns and smiles, their makeup is sometimes a little too heavy handed and does not spare them.

Some smoky eyes are too pronounced, with poorly coordinated colours or red lips that are too bold. Unfortunately for stars, their popularity ratings do not protect anyone.

Heidi Klum, Eva Green and Courtney Cox have also committed missteps wanting to shine at all costs. In contrast, we find them in nude makeup which aims to be as natural as possible. And when the this happens, the nude makeup look seems like a good response to a botched beauty treatment.

But again, beware of the simplicity of the technique as it also requires time and expertise.
