Celebrity makeup artists Hung Vanngo & more share the secret behind your favourite Met Gala 2018 looks

How to Achieve This Look: Create a smooth complexion by prepping the skin with the Under(Cover) Perfecting Coconut Face Primer to hydrate the skin before foundation (Joyce used a 24-hour one), concealing, and contour. To play up her stunning eyes, she dusted a warm copper shade in a metallic finish ("Meet Ya") in the inner corner of her eyes and on her bottom lashline, a matte reddish brown shade ("For More") in the crease for added dimension, and dusted a rich dark copper ("Known For") on the center of the lids. Layers of the Velvet Noir Mascara was applied for full lashes, and to amp up Emily's beautiful pout, Bonelli outlined her lips several times with the (P)outliner Longwear Lip Liner in (Nude)ist, followed by a mix of several nude lipsticks, before topping it off with a high-shine lip lacquer.

How to Achieve This Look: Jessica started the makeup with Janelle's eyes, priming the lids for a "bullet-proof" eye makeup that won't crease. Her skin is all about the glow; after moisturising Janelle's skin, Jessica massaged a small amount of the limited-edition Marc Jacobs Beauty Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter using a foundation brush, before blending in the Marc Jacobs Beauty Shameless Youthful-Look 24-H Foundation. To emphasise her beautiful bone structure, Jessica dusted a touch of the O!Mega Bronze Perfect Tan, and the Air Blush Soft Glow Duo in Night Fever & Hot Stuff, before dabbing a bit of the leftover gel highlighter on top. Janelle's lips were filled in a cocoa lipliner, before applying the Marc Jacobs Beauty Le Marc Lip Creme Lipstick in Amazing, a beautiful candy apple red. To create a matte lip, Jessica applied the new Finish Line Perfecting Coconut Setting Powder.

How to Achieve This Look: To add radiance to the skin, Vanngo tapped the new Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter in Fantasy on the top of Gisele's cheekbones for a beautiful illuminating glow, and added a combination of the Air Blush Soft Glow Duo and O!Mega Bronze Perfect Tan in Tan-Tastic for a warm wash of colour. To create her eye, he applied a wash of gold all over the lids (including up to the brow bone and under the lashes), with a subtle wash of the green along the lashline. To elongate her eyes, he built up the colour and pulled the shadow towards the outer corner for a more feline effect. To amp up the intensiy, Vanngo used a yet-to-be-launched glittery eye crayon along the upper lash line, which he smudged softly. Her lips were kept simple - outlined with a cocoa lipliner, before being topped with a warm peachy nude lip cream.

True to its theme of ‘Heavenly Bodies’, the Met’s red carpet bore witness to some truly divine looks that will, no doubt, go into the books as some of the gala’s most iconic looks.
