The singer shows up at the AMAs as an old Hollywood beauty with modern ombre lips.
It was a big night for Demi Lovato. She was scheduled for two performances last night at the 2015 American Music Awards; the first was a solo act while the second was a duet with Alanis Morissette.
The singer stood out on the red carpet with her sultry makeup look yesterday. Lovato channeled an old Hollywood siren complete with a wavy flapper hairdo.
To get Demi’s sultry eyes, line eyes entirely with a kohl pencil. Apply a dark eyeshadow of your choice, blending it upwards toward the temple to elongate your eyes. Dark shadows can make your eyes look small, so finish off with mascara to open your eyes. A sculpted and strong brow is a must to balance out the whole look.
To avoid ruining your base with eyeshadow fall out, start on your base only after the eyes are done. As with any look with a bold dark lip, it is a must to have a flawless base as dark lips can enhance imperfections like scarring and dark circles, making you look tired and drained. Use a full coverage foundation and concealer to fake flawless skin.
Now it’s time for the main event. To start line your lips with a dark liner like Urban Decay’s Blackmail. Fill the liner but leave the center of your lips bare for a lighter vampy lip like M.A.C.’s Rebel. Blend the obvious hard edges with a Q-tip or your fingers and you’ll have the perfectly contoured vampy pout.
