Tanned hands and a beautiful manicure – the tanicure is the latest nail and hand treatment you need to know about.

Do cold, shivery winters remind you of what was once a beautiful, glowing tan? Are bronzers and self-tanners a part of your holy grail skin and body care regime? Then you should probably get on board the “tanicure” hype.

Thanks to Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s tanner, James Read, and Kate Moss’s manicurist, Sophy Robson, you can now forget about hiding those pasty, pale fingers within the sleeves of your sweater. The idea is that a squeaky clean press-on manicure is given a coating of self-tanner for summery-looking hands that will look great in winter knits and coats.

The glamorous service is currently only available at Harrods in London and takes around 20 minutes. However, you can do it yourself at home using the James Read Bronzing Spray in ‘instant’ (for a quick glow) or ‘clear’ (for a glow that will gradually develop) and the Sophy Robson Nail-Its that available in six designs – from French tips to party prints.

To tan your hands, opt for a spray formula that is sure to last. Moisturise your nooks and crannies like your knuckles and fine lines. This will ensure that your tan is even and not blotchy. Make a claw shape with the hand you are tanning – this way the hard-to-each places such as in between your fingers will not be left un-tanned. Clean around your hands and nails with a wet wipe when done. All you need now is those sexy set of nails and a tall glass of champagne!

What are your thoughts on this new beauty treatment? Will you be hopping on the bandwagon? Do let us know!
