No matter where you are flying to, somehow the flight attendants manage to pull off a stylish look. Whether it is blazing red, sweet baby turquoise or polished black, cabin crew uniforms are the embodiment of (sky) high fashion. Here are our favourites.

With the exception of a few, it’s no secret that we all value comfort over style upon boarding a plane, especially for that dreaded long haul flight. But while we doze off into slumber, the cabin crew gracefully walking down the plane’s aisles still manage to look presentable, chic and comfortable enough to do their job.

Over the years, flight attendants’ uniforms have evolved and gained an iconic status of their own. Some crew are even lucky enough to have theirs designed by big names in the fashion industry. From the retro Pan Am days to the era of contemporary foulards, the uniforms seem to keep up as fashion trends unfold.

Being the frequent flyers that we are, we couldn’t help but have something to say on the topic. Check out our top 10 best dressed cabin crew and be inspired to combine both comfort and style even while flying.

For #6 (Singapore Airlines), there is a mistake there. I think you meant almost half a century, not half a decade… Half a decade’s only 5 years, and this uniform was introduced in 1968 🙂
