Skincare brand, Minus 417 has made its way to our shores and the natural ingredients used has got us intrigued. We chat with the brand’s founder and CEO, Moty Fridman to find out more.

When art and beauty comes together, you can be sure of a beautiful creation. This is the case with Minus 417, a global skincare brand founded by Moty Fridman. As the founder and CEO of this brand and as an artist, he has had a passion for all things beauty and decided to help women become masters of their own art by creating a skincare line using natural active components and minerals from the lowest place in the world, the Dead Sea.

The Dead Sea is known to be the Earth’s largest natural spa and Minus 417 has tapped on this health-enhancing oasis to create skincare products that transcends continents and cultures. Many would wonder why the brand has such a unique name, well that’s because the dead sea and where the ingredients are sourced from lies some 417m below sea level.

The brand believes in using a special set of ingredients such as the Vitamin Miracle Complex, which is made up of essential and stable vitamins. When used regularly, it helps to improve the mineral balance of the cells and over time you’ll notice that your skin yields not only a beautiful glow but an improved texture too.

So with that amount of efficacy in the products, we had to speak to Moty Fridman about Minus 417, his artistic input as well as his must have product recommendations for our tropical weather.

MARIE FRANCE ASIA: HOW DIFFERENT IS MINUS 417 FROM OTHER SKINCARE BRANDS THAT SOURCE INGREDIENTS FROM THE DEAD SEA?

Moty Fridman: Minus 417 collections were designed to create happiness. We do use minerals and mud from the Dead Sea which are known for their magical properties to the skin, still we use them in an artistic and creative way with additional precious ingratiates that were clinically tested to create immediate results.

MFA: WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF USING INGREDIENTS FROM THE DEAD SEA AND WHAT ARE THE KEY INGREDIENTS?

M. F.: The minerals from the Dead Sea are known for their healing, relaxing and balancing properties to the skin, as well as the mud from the Dead Sea. The mineral and the mud are rich with essential minerals that cannot be found in any other sea in the world and is 10 times more concentrated. The mud was recently researched for a special additional benefit, which is firming.

MFA: ARE INGREDIENTS FROM THE DEAD SEA SUITABLE FOR ALL SKIN TYPES?

M. F.: This is one of the unique benefits of the minerals from the Dead Sea, which are creating miracles for all ranges of skin types. From dry and sensitive skin to prone and oily skin. The most important thing is the percentages of the ingredients in each product.

MFA: WHAT ARE SOME OF THE MUST-HAVE PRODUCTS WOMEN SHOULD OWN IN THEIR
STASH?

M. F.: I can share with you the range of products my wife will carry on every travel:

1. Micro Luffa Foaming Gel – Our best selling and addictive cleanser

2. Time Control Active Serum – The ideal light texture serum that calms the skin, rejuvenates the skin and improve effectiveness of every moisturizer

3. Time Control Firming Cream – Light texture day and night moisturizer that improve skin appearance with glow and lightening effect

4. Immediate Miracle Wrinkle Filler- The best seller of -417 collection that immediately fixes wrinkles, fine lines, scars and open pores, making the skin flawless and most importantly it gives a rejuvenating and firming action

MFA: HOW MUCH DOES YOUR ART INFLUENCE THE WAY YOU CREATE OR DEVELOP YOUR SKINCARE PRODUCTS?

M. F.: Each of my products is an art creation for me. Like a nice piece of art that makes people happy when they can have it, my products make each of my costumers happy when it’s being used. In addition, the creative point of view and an investigating point of view makes my team and I curious and creative with each formula we design.

MFA: WHAT WAS THE REASON FOR CHOOSING SINGAPORE AS A MARKET TO LAUNCH MINUS417?

M. F.: Singapore is the first Asian country the collection was launched as we consider Singapore as a very competitive market that we can study a lot from. Also because of the big awareness for beauty and the challenge of the weather. We choose the right selection for Singapore’s market specifically.

MFA: ANY SKINCARE TIPS FOR OUR READERS LIVING IN THIS TROPICAL CLIMATE SINGAPORE?

M. F.: For sure cleansing 2 times a day is the most important routine. The second and also very important is choosing a comfortable peeling mask that will follow the daily routine and will make sure the skin will always be clean, fresh and will be able to expose the inner natural beauty of each one of us.
