It was announced early this year that the blending of Rose Quartz (a warm rose tone) and Serenity (a cool blue shade) was to be Pantone's colour of the year. So, it comes as no surprise that these shades were quickly adopted and accepted as trending hair colours as well. People all over the world have taken a liking to the rose hair trend, perhaps in alignment to the rose gold craze that we see monopolizing the accessory market. This hair colour gives a young and whimsical look to those who wear it.

Ash has been especially popular in Singapore, because of how easy it is to match with clothing and accessories. Despite this, it takes guts to wear this colour, especially for those with dark hair, and therefore remains a very unique trend in Asian countries. It is definitely pleasing to the eye, though, and is a colour you should try at least once in your lifetime if you're a hair-dye junkie.

A blend of turquoise, purple and the occasional pink or rose, this is one funky hairstyle to boot. Particularly popular in Japan, the land of crazy fashion trends and wacky ideas, this is one fad that will turn heads and cameras. Basically, you'll get the attention you were hoping for. Although unconventional, the colours look great fusing into each other, and we're certainly in love with this look when done right.
