Shupette: Karl Lagerfeld for Shu Uemura

Karl Lagerfeld pays tribute to his best feline friend, Choupette by teaming up with Shu Uemura, for a line of makeup to be released in Fall.

In the world of celebrity pets, it’s safe to say that the Kaiser’s beautiful, white-as-snow Siamese cat, Choupette, is a glamourised A-lister. Karl Lagerfeld‘s cat attained fame not only through her dad’s incredible aptitude as a designer but she’s just an adorable little kitty in her own right – to not be attracted to this feline would probably be a sin.

Which meant it was only a matter of time before Choupette became the muse and face of Shu Uemura‘s upcoming Christmas makeup line, aptly titled, Shupette. The collaboration will see eyeshadow and lip palettes, false lashes, glitter powder, blushes and cleansing oil among other products. Additionally, they all come packaged in adorable drawings of Queen Choupette, done by Lagerfeld himself, using Shu Uemura’s makeup – the designer has long been known to use the brand’s products to create sketches for Chanel and Fendi.

At the end of the day, purrfection never seemed so real and who could say no to those blue eyes?

Shu Uemura Shupette Holiday 2014 collection will be available from November 1 2014 at all Shu Uemura counters.
