Canvas in the clouds – take to the skies with British Airways as they launch a visual spectacular that tracks their latest flight path from London to Singapore.

There’s nothing we love more than travelling – from long-haul flights (it’s part of the experience!), age-old sights, learning new cultures to delectable cuisine.

To celebrate the launch of the A380 route, British Airways teamed up with Projection Artworks to produce a breathtaking 4D visual, tracking the flight path from London to Singapore. The intricately detailed one-minute film features some of Singapore’s architectural highlights – including the Marina Bay Sands and Changi Airport.

The brilliantly uplifting and dream-like video was shot in a studio environment while harnessing the magic of 4D projection. For each shot, a 1:20 scale model of the plane was used to depict their latest aircraft. To enhance the feeling of reality, seven HD projectors were used to cover the background walls, floor, and all sides of the A380 plane – enabling the talented team to work on the jaw-dropping special effects. In addition, dry ice was used to create a stunning cloud effect – pretty mesmerising, right?
