Rumour has it that the fantasy series may be adapted for Indian screens. If it did happen, here’s what the Bollywood-esque version could look like.

Two weeks ago, we could finally immerse ourselves in the seventh Kingdom world to see our favourite characters in action in Game of Thrones. While we savoured those brief and intense moments, a rumour emerged that the fantasy series sensation could be adapted for Indian screens; a sort of Bollywood-style Game of Thrones, if you will.

It turned out to be a hoax, but the rumour certainly ignited the imagination of Vishal Dutt, an Indian graphic designer from New Delhi. “I read that there’s going to be an Indian remake of Game of Thrones *I-don’t-want-to-live-on this-planet-anymore*. So I photoshopped some of my favourite GoT characters. The outcome amused me”, he said.

Thus, Dutt re-imagined characters such as Tyrion Lannister, Lord Varys, Daenerys Targaryen, Arya Stark, Oberyn Martell, Khal Drogo, Catelyn Stark and Eddard Stark as Indians, all dressed in ethnic garb. Entitled ‘Kkhel Thrones Ka’ –  his incredibly well-executed project is worth the view!

All we can say is keep doing your thing, Vishal! We would love to see your work on Cersei Lannister, Sansa Stark and Jamie Lannister, to name a few, as well!

Now, back to the real Game of Thrones.
