H&M’s 2016 holiday short film directed by Wes Anderson is wintry & quirky
Is that Adrien Brody in the film? Why yes, it is.
H&M has announced the debut of an intriguing short film. Titled Come Together, this 4-minute festive film, directed by award-winning Wes Anderson, is a moody yet heartwarming holiday feature that captures the quintessential Christmas elements of winter and festive get-togethers.
Starring Adrien Brody as a train conductor, we’re taken on a journey with the passengers riding a locomotive that is travelling through a snowy landscape on Christmas Eve. Unfortunately, the unforgiving wintry weather throws a wrench in people’s plans to join their loved ones for the Christmas holiday. What happens at the end of the film will leave you sighing with a bit of relief.
“This story may resonate more than ever at a time in the world where we could all do with giving a stranger a hug,” actor Adrien Brody said of the film.
Pernilla Wohlfahrt, H&M’s Head of Design and Creative Director, tells us a little more about the H&M Holiday 2016 Collection, which makes its cameo in a series of related campaign images. “The winter train ride, under Wes Anderson’s direction, is the perfect setting for H&M’s holiday collection full of relaxed, wearable elegance. It’s about mixing the informal with a sense of occasion, capturing the holiday mood for both dressing up and getting cozy with loved ones”.
