From Andy Samberg’s TV marathon to Viola Davis’ brilliant speech, here’s everything you need to catch up on from television’s biggest night.

Eyes were all on the 67th Primetime Emmys for the stars, and the glamour and the six rule changes made by the TV Academy.

After his energising, fist-bumping performance at last year’s Oscars, Andy Samberg returned to host the Emmys. The Brooklyn-Nine-Nine star started off with a hilarious musical sketch boasting about all the shows he has watched to prepare for his hosting gig. A marathon it was indeed.

Game of Thrones swept the awards with a whopping 11 wins, upsetting Mad Men’s final year at the Emmys. However, Mad Men fans were not disappointed when a deserving John Hamm took the title of Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series.

Without a doubt, the most emotional moment of the night goes to Viola Davis. The How to Get Away with Murder Actress made history as she accepted the Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series award, making her the first black woman to ever win in that category.

With that much and more to celebrate, check out our gallery for just some of the best moments from the star-studded night.
