This stellar actress made 2015 even more special by using her 30 second award acceptance speech moment to make a plea to fix wage inequality. She added that it should not only be for female actors but every woman in in the United States of America. We agree and believe it should be a right of every woman globally.

Will 2016 be a year to welcome a female president? Hillary Clinton has been impressing us with her political debates In 2015. Regardless of whether you are active in political news or not, you can’t help but feel proud of her debate stands when pitted against the male candidates.

She may know “how to get away with murder” but she cannot escape from our eyes as an inspiration. Viola Davis made history by being the first black woman to win an Emmy for a lead role in a drama series. As Viola said during her acceptance speech, "The only thing that separates women of colour from anyone else is opportunity,” So go out and live your dreams ladies.

Periods are often a topic of taboo but Kiran Gandhi proved otherwise this year by running 26 miles of the London Marathon without using a tampon while on her period. She ran to empower women to embrace a natural process and be supportive of other women going through it. It was also to show that women have a right to bleed and should not be judged.

You may try to stack the odds against women but when they come out in full force, they make a statement. Rightly so, 2015 has been a positive year for many females. In times of joy as well as adversity, women have made headlines across different fields demonstrating that #womensupportingwomen is a reality.

From breaking the stigma of periods to female political candidates running for election, 2015 has seen women coming out to pledge and advocate that a woman is no less than her counterpart. It is time to not underestimate the power we women have to change the world.

When it comes to fashion, we have seen female celebrities embracing their bodies to flaunt their best selves. Be it a post-partum body shape or a weight loss success story, we are definitely applauding them.
