Fitness: Motivate yourself by shopping with calories
updated the 14 July 2015 à 18:33More of us are looking for a healthy lifestyle, because we want to feel and look good. But as crucial as it is – we experience bumps along the way. Here’s a way to get you started.
The launch of Colun Light, a new light beverage from Colun, which is a famous dairy brand in Chile, has sparked off a unique movement to encourage people to be healthier. The brand installed a sportswear pop-up store in the middle of a park where a lot of people usually head to for their daily exercise (jogging, biking and so on). In this manner, people could take a break from their sporting activities to conveniently pay a visit to the new boutique.
While shoppers will still be treated with the usual racks and mannequins of clothes, the real surprise comes at the cash register. Instead of displaying a price for the items, a number of calories will be boldly shown – calories which need to be lost in order to receive the product. Customers are then invited to run on a treadmill to burn off the number of calories before they can leave the store with their goods.
Sweating it out while shopping – such a good way to promote a drink, don’t you think?
