The latest advertising campaign for Pantene encourages women to be confident and to stop apologizing for no reason. Watch the video here.

Not Sorry campaign

Sorry, but we’re not really sorry!

A recent video campaign launched by Pantene entitled “Not Sorry #ShineStrong Pantene” aims to show women that saying ‘sorry’ in unnecessary situations has become more of a reflex than a genuine act of apology. The ad showcases women apologizing in a variety of situations; at home, at work and so on. “Sorry for asking a question at work”, “sorry for asking for help with the children at home”- do we really need to be that apologetic? And does this in turn have any effect on our self-esteem and confidence?

The video continues with the same women in the same situations but without saying the word ‘sorry’, showing them as more confident and assertive. Pantene wanted to show through the ad that “when you’re strong on the inside, you shine on the outside. And that’s a beautiful thing.”

We couldn’t agree more so why not follow our lead and make it one of this new year’s resolution to stop being unnecessarily apologetic and state your point with more confidence instead?
