As the Golden Globe Award winner celebrates his 51st birthday, here’s a summary of Brad Pitt’s changing hairstyles.

Happy Birthday Brad Pitt! As the American actor celebrates his 51st birthday on December 18th, it’s crucial to note the charming man isn’t only known for the great roles he has played in his 27-year career (and 87 movies) but also for his string of unexpected hairstyles. Just remember how his jaw-grazing, medium-length hair in Thelma & Louise literally shot him to fame instantaneously.

Brad Pitt, The Blonde

Pitt sported long hair for quite a while (Legends of the Fall and Interview with the Vampire) and then there was the list of girlfriends to go with the changing styles. With Gwyneth Paltrow, he moved from long locks to embracing the buzz cut. And many years later, when he got together with Angelina Jolie, the changing hairstyles still followed suit – which also involved switching up his facial hair.

From a goatee to a petite moustache, the stubble and an undercut, Brad Pitt has probably tried every look in the book. But at the end of the day, what would he be without his rather pronounced taste for blond highlights?

So here’s our selection of the best (and worst) hairstyles from Brad Pitt to date – because who knows what hair mischiefs he’ll be getting up to come 2015.
