The Unique Connection: Can you identify your mom?

updated the 14 July 2015 à 18:31

There’s nothing like a mother’s touch and Pandora’s new campaign video tugs at the heartstrings with their portrayal of the intimate mother-child bond.

Every time a child is born, so is a mother. Life may not have given us a hard copy instruction manual when we landed here, but we got something better: a mother to guide us through life, cushion our challenges and cheer us on from the sidelines. As such, Mother’s Day (which is just around the corner) is the perfect time to celebrate and salute this monumental figure in our lives. And nobody has managed to beautifully capture the essence of motherhood quite like Pandora with their new heartwarming campaign video.

The jewellery ad portrays the unique bond shared between a mother and her child. The Unique Connection video shows a group of six children who have to identify their mothers amongst a row of women. The catch? They have to do it blindfolded, no talking allowed.

One by one, the blindfolded children stepped out to identify their moms by touching their hands, faces and hair. Some children instantly identified their moms within mere seconds, while others took a little more time feeling their way around. We can tell how nerve-wrecking it must be for the mothers who wait with bated breath to see if their little ones could recognize them. We can all heave a sigh of relief because in the end, all the kids could distinguish their respective mothers.

The video suggests that the unique bond between children and their mothers is something that can be felt as much as it can be seen. Our mothers are after all, the first people we bond with in our early years. This heartwarming ad is certain to tug at the heartstrings and you’re sure to be a little misty eyed after watching it. And if this has moved you to appreciate your mom, make it special with timeless tokens from Pandora’s Mother’s Day Collection.  We guarantee you can’t go wrong with these beautiful sparkling stones!
