When: Saturday and Sunday; 22 and 23 July; 10am to 10pm

Where: B4 ION Station, ION Orchard

Why: Tea lovers, the Singapore Tea Festival is making its first appearance on our shores — are you ready for it? Showcasing 17 different types of teas, be prepared to be amazed by the beauty and history of the different teas. This is where people will get to experience unique blends that will delight. Shop at the Tea Market for tea merchandise from vendors, take a drink at the tea-themed cafe and then visit the Tea Museum for a deeper insight.

Makers Pop Up: Print / Print
When: Saturday and Sunday; 15 and 16 July; 11am to 7pm

Where: Scotts Square

Why: Print / Print is back, and bigger than ever. With 10 vendors this time round, from Fable to Knuckles & Notch, this installment will definitely not disappoint. Participate in their free screenprinting workshop and then indulge yourself in the selection of goodies that are up for sale. BooksActually will also be having a Yong Tau Foo-style Book Box section, where you get to choose from a selection.

Living Art – A Terrarium Building Workshop
When: Sunday; 23 July; 2pm to 4pm

Where: Naiise @ Orchard Gateway

Why: Terrariums are simple alternatives to gardens, and in a city where large plots of land aren’t readily available, they are the next best thing! Plus, they are super cute and beautiful. Held by MossInGarden, learn the basics of how to start your own terrarium with dedicated tutelage, and then learn how to properly care for them so your little terrariums will last!

The 50 Cents Fest 2017

Where: Chinatown Food Street

Why: Remember the days where a singular coin could get you a filling and delicious meal? Revisit those days with the 50 Cents Festival, where you only need your coins to feed yourself. Part of the Singapore Food Festival, enthrall your tastebuds and trick your senses, and feel like you’ve been transported to a different era. Not only will the food remind you of the days gone by, be prepared to be entertained with nostalgic music and games.

Children’s Street Trail 2017
When: Sunday; 16 July; 10am to 5pm

Where: Yong Siak Street

Why: We all know and love Yong Siak Street for its collection of cafes and bookshops, and now your children will have reasons to love it as well. Held in collaboration with six different stores, watch as the street is transformed into a haven for your kids. They have filled it up with hidden animals and activities, allowing your young ones to experience everything from baking cakes to craft workshops. And then, end it with a bang with a balloon party!

SPH Gift of Music Series: SSO Lunchtime Concert
When: Friday; 21 July; 12.30pm to 1.15pm

Where: Victoria Concert Hall

Why: If you’re working in the area, drop by for their lunchtime concert that’s a definite treat. This concert is free admission, so grab your colleagues for an hour of relaxing music that will re-energise you for the rest of the day. They'll be playing Eastern European dance tunes from the likes of Dvořák and Brahms so, musical enthusiast or not, be prepared to fall in love!

Bastille Day – French Party 2017

Where: Ô Comptoir

Why: Deck yourself up in stripes and make your way down to Ô Comptoir to celebrate Bastille Day like a French would. Listen to the live performance by Ze'Brass Fanfare, and snack on their signature crêpes and aletteall night long!
