Singapore Coffee Festival 2017
When: Friday to Sunday; 4 to 6 August

Where: Marina Bay Cruise Centre

Why: Listen up, all you caffeine lovers out there! The Singapore Coffee Festival is set to rock our little red dot this coming August. If caffeine is the name of your game, you won't want to miss this event. Learn about and enjoy your favourite beverage during this three-day event, which has partnered with much-loved F&B names. We’re eyeing Oriole Coffee + Bar’s Death Cream, so drop by for their booth (Americano Zone, Booth #3, Level 1) for an array of drinks and snacks (like desserts and sandwiches) that will not disappoint.

A Spanish Hendrick’s Summer Fiesta
When: Sunday; 30 July; 5pm till late

Where: Esquina

Why: Jiak Chuan Road’s Esquina is bringing their annual summer fiesta to your tummy — are you ready for it? With mouthwatering dishes like grilled octopus and marinated rack of lamb, as well as gin and tonic mixes by Hendrick’s Gin, drop by if you feel like treating yourself right. Listen to the DJs spinning their best tracks, and relax on the hill behind Esquina for a Sunday night you definitely won't forget.

Swing the Night Away – Jazz in July
When: Friday; 28 July; 7.30pm to 10pm

Where: Esplanade Outdoor Theatre

Why: Enjoy the view of the Singapore river and the iconic city skyline, and be prepared to be delighted by wonderous jazz tunes. Come together to celebrate the Queen of Jazz, with the smooth voice of Alemay Fernandez that will make you melt. Her strong voice will entertain you for an hour, with two slots (one at 7.30pm and the other at 9pm). So for those who adored her the first time, come back again and feel yourself falling in love once twice in one night.

After Dawn: BBQ Block Party
When: Sunday; 30 July; 12pm to 11pm

Where: Camp Kilo Charcoal Club

Why: Another block party has hit the shores of Singapore, and we could not be any happier about it. A great DJ lineup, featuring the likes of Amy Dabbs and J. Goh, will be sure to please your ears. But, that’s not all there is. Carnival stores will punctuate the event with fun, and an artist market by The Local People will feature artwork and trinkets like plant hangers and leather goods.

Sunset Social Market
When: Saturday & Sunday; 22 & 23 July; 3pm to 8pm

Where: Open Farm Community

Why: The Sunset Social Market takes the concept of their original Social Market and gives it a little twist. Happening, instead, later in the day, feel the calm setting sun and wind in your hair as you peruse the selection available. Of course they are catering it around Singapore’s love for food, serving up delectable dishes that will satisfy you and your tummy easily. On top of that, grab some amazing drinks and then participate in the activities found around!

Animal Crackers Poetry Slam

Where: Blu Jaz Cafe

Why: Blu Jaz Cafe is known for hosting a variety of events, so you’re always in for a treat when you drop by. Hosted by Word Forward, drop by the cafe to hear a riveting collection of poems by Singaporeans. This monthly slam has attracted over 250,000 students islandwide since its inception 15 years back. Either participate with your original composition or simply listen to those reciting. And, hey, students get 10% off all food and beverages!

Cooking Beats presents: Raíces with Oliver Hyde

Why: Kilo Cooking Beats is back and, this time, it’s bringing Oliver Hyde to the limelight. Truly immerse yourself in the chef’s Norwich heritage as he experiments and brings forth his country’s best in this culinary experience like no other. Having worked at many reputable restaurants around the world, this Cooking Beats is one you definitely should not miss.

Ramen Revolution 2017

Why: Throw away your instant noodle packets and enjoy the beauty of ramen in the first-ever Ramen Revolution. Serving up bowls by big names, like Machida Shoten from Singapore and Menya Masamune from Japan, find yourself filling your tummy up easily with the delicious noodles.
