Chef Jason Licker’s Dessert Pop Up
When: 8 - 10 September
Where: Neon Pigeon, 1 Keong Saik Rd
Why: The Neon Pigeon restaurant is holding a one-of-a-kind pop up experience from 8 to 10 September and any foodie worth their salt will be crazy to miss this exquisite event. Neon Pigeon will be hosting the winner of the Iron Chef Thailand Pastry Edition, Chef Jason Licker, as he flaunts his skilfully prepared specialty desserts alongside the restaurant's own Japanese smorgasbord. Enjoy sinful creations like the scrumptious-sounding White Chocolate Sake Cream with Yuzu Scented Berries and Salted Toffee Crunch, and Matcha Puff with Coconut Tapioca and Coconut Crumble.

Opening Day for ‘Salvador Dali & Pierre Argillet’ Exhibition
When: Sunday, 11 September; 9:30am - 9pm
Where: Redsea Gallery, Block 9 Dempsey Road, #01-10 Dempsey Hill
Why: If there ever were a place to explore the works of Surrealist artist Salvador Dali, it would be at the upcoming exhibition at Redsea Gallery. Presenting a selection of Dali’s drawings and etchings from the renowned Pierre Argillet Collection alongside tapestries and porcelain works, all previously unseen in Singapore, this exhibition is one that will allow visitors a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to view such historic pieces up close. The exhibition will run until 5 October 2016.

Roald Dahl 100 Party

Why: Celebrating a century since the birth of the world’s most beloved storyteller, it’s time for fans to revisit famous works through live readings, fun quizzes and a snazzy dress-up competition! Whether you’ve been a long-time fan, or your kids have been enthralled by the late author’s amazing masterpieces, you’ll want to bring your whole family down to the Roald Dahl 100 Party.

Witness: The Archive of Cultural Revolution
When: 9 - 11 September
Where: The Arts House at The Old Parliament
Why: The 5th Singapore International Photography Festival presents an eye-opening exhibition of photographs taken during the Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution between 1966 to 1976 in China by then photojournalist Li Zhensheng. This is the first time that these images will be showcased in Southeast Asia, giving viewers precious insight into the turbulent event.

Mid-Autumn Carnival 2016
When: Saturday, 10 September; 11am - 4pm
Where: Farmart Centre
Why: Grab your friends and family and immerse yourself in some exciting and interactive activities. You’ll find everything from a bouncy castle to free flow of traditional ice cream to free candy floss to free balloons… yes, even admission to the event is entirely free! With fun games and a photo booth to make use of, there’s plenty of fun to be had at this Mid-Autumn Carnival. Don’t miss out!
