Singapore Fashion Week 2016 aims to give greater exposure to local designers through an exciting partnership with Boutique Fairs.

Singapore Fashion Week (SGFW) is partnering with the acclaimed Boutique Fairs Singapore this year in support of local designers and the fashion industry here.

Boutique Fairs Singapore is returning in November, with 12 brands curated by SGFW as part of their collaboration. This includes some of the local design labels showcasing this year at SGFW, like luxurious bespoke ready-to-wear label Nida Shay, independent accessories label ALT, and Asian heritage-inspired contemporary womenswear brand Chi Chi Von, to name a few.

This SGFW and Boutique Fairs partnership comes in response to the shift in the structure of fashion weeks seen over the past few seasons, which increasingly embraces a ‘see now buy now’ model. This collaboration seeks to boost both the sales and exposure (locally and internationally) for these labels, considering the strong expat turnout in the Boutiques Fair.

If you’re intending to swing by the Boutiques Fair 2016 this year, head up to the gallery to learn more about the local labels showing at SGFW and the fair!
