American Eagle Outfitters opens flagship store in Singapore

The Eagle has landed on our shores with a sprawling space in VivoCity filled with rugged sensibilities and comfortable silhouettes.
Seeing how the casual rugged aesthetics, along with denim everything has been infiltrating our visual fields, perhaps it only makes sense that the true blue American purveyor of that style, American Eagle Outfitters arrives in Singapore.
Swinging open their doors at VivoCity last week to a horde of local celebrities, media members and friends of the brand, the sprawling 4,000 square-feet space was brilliantly decked out in distinctive industrial elements. For instance, the exposed whitewashed brick pillars within the store mimic the designs of New York City's subway stations.
Now, as for the collection on display, essentially the Spring/ Summer 2015 is one that's entirely suitable for Singapore's weather - from flirty sundresses, feather light cardigans to billowy maxi dresses and kimonos. Adorned with beautiful flat florals, bold botanicals and exuding a chic 70s vibe, honestly we're hard pressed to choose favourites for our wardrobe.
However, while the SS15 line was the most current one on display, the exceptional selection of denim washes and fit styles in the Jeans line made that the star of the night instead. If jeans are not your thing though, then the expansive range of graphic T-Shirts, shorts, accessories, outerwear, intimates and footwear should entice you fairly well.
So if you're looking to invest in a good pair of denim jeans or in some flirty and comfortable staples for the summer time, here's another store to check out for a fresh breath of air. At the end of the day, what else can we say other than the Eagle has landed guys!
