Ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes of a runway show? Well, here are some backstage moments we shot at Zalora’s Woo/Fiziwoo & Zalia show!

Taking two labels offline and onto the runways of fashion week, online e-tailer, Zalora effectively gave the audience a much closer look at the collections’ brilliant work in creating exceptionally beautiful conservative style for the more modest customer.

First came Woo/Fiziwoo, the Ready-To-Wear line by Malaysian brand Fiziwoo, who showcased a series of looks constructed largely out of neoprene in bright poppy shades like emerald green, fuschia and cobalt blue. Featuring peplums and an amalgamation of the whole ‘draping your jacket over your shoulders’ trend onto dresses, definitely made for quite an intriguing design aesthetic.

Next up, against the soothing sounds of string musicians, closing the show was Zalora’s in-house label, Zalia with their 18-piece collection of elegant and sophisticated designs. On the models themselves, the fitted mermaid-shaped gowns and voluminous skirts literally came to life as they effortlessly graced the runways. Whether beaded in intricate embroidery or adorned with crochet lace, we couldn’t help but feel enthralled – especially when you realise the price points of the entire collection is on the affordable front. Really.

Now before the alluring action unfolded on the runway though, we got through backstage and snuck in a couple of shots as the models got ready to wow everyone at the show – see it as the chaos before the glam.

The Zalia and Woo/Fiziwoo collection are currently available online at Zalora.
