Singapore-based fashion label, Raoul, is getting all tech-savvy by offering an interactive digital experience in their store.

It’s a brave new world for shoppers where technology is stealthily taking over our retail experiences. Whether it’s to enhance convenience by way of shopping applications or simply to create a more interactive environment where you can explore videos of collections, physical retail stores are definitely getting in on the technology wave.

In Singapore, we have fashion label, Raoul, who teamed up with shopping app, iQNECT to deliver informational and inspirational content highlights from New York Fashion Week with literally just a tap and a snap. To mark the first-ever collaboration with iQNECT and to celebrate the label’s latest Fall Winter 2014 collection, shoppers who download and utilise the app in-store will also stand to receive SGD100 e-vouchers and a limited edition Raoul tote bag.

And even if you’re not tech-savvy, the app is fairly intuitive. After downloading the app, simply look for the iQ logo throughout the store, snap the look on your phone and you’ll be immediately redirected to a page with fashion week videos or product information. It’s a lot like the informational walkie-talkies you receive at museums to tell you the story behind each exhibit.

“Today’s shoppers are savvy in the way they gather information about products, discerning in the way they seek inspiration and curate their personal style, and astute in the way they look for value-add in every brand interaction. We believe that the enhanced mobile journey of our FW 14 collection marries the in-store shopper experience with valuable content to help inform and inspire their purchasing decision, and meet these expectations,” says Douglas Benjamin, Group COO of F J Benjamin Holdings, and co- founder of the Group’s in-house brand Raoul.

Clearly, our shopping trips are about to get a little more savvy – which means the men no longer need to linger outside the store.

The iQNECT app can be downloaded from iTunes and Google play, for use at the Raoul Paragon store.
