Gabrielle Chanel’s favourite flower gets the Bijou treatment

Intricately crafted metallic blooms make their way across the temples of this striking new collection.
Chanel is ever on point when it comes to dishing out stylish eyewear. This year, the French high fashion house is bringing the camellia flower to the Bijou eyewear collection, paying homage to Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel’s favourite flower.
This fourth edition of the collection will feature a poetic style that is “Romanesque, baroque and bursting with character”. With camellia motifs crafted in metal shades and blooming over the temples of the glasses, they will no doubt be the centre of all attention.
Giving a nod towards Italian glamour, the sunglasses will exude extra femininity with overlarge frames for a striking effect. The optical glasses will feature frames of intense black, burgundy and navy blue, as well as delicate tortoiseshell, grey and sea green hues for a softer look.
