Parisian Flavour: Shanghai Tang unveils Autumn/Winter 2015 collection

Sleek silhouettes, little black dresses and subtle prints take centre stage in a sophisticated collection inspired by the Jardins du Palais Royal in Paris.

Shanghai Tang debuts a striking black-and-white video campaign to showcase its latest Autumn/Winter 2015 collection. Shot by Alan Gelati and fronted by Asian top models Bonnie Chen and Wankyu Ryu, the latest collection combines boldness and nostalgia in each of its elegant pieces that stay true to the modern Chinese aesthetic that’s now a hallmark of the label.

Things have been upped a notch this season with the leading Chinese luxury label’s latest outing taking inspiration from the City of Lights. The sophistication of Les Jardins du Palais Royal and Les Toits de L’Hotel Raphael is reflected in the sleek silhouettes, little black dresses, jewel tones and textured knits found in each piece.

The vibrant colours we’ve come to expect from the brand are sparse in the collection, with the pieces taking on a decidedly post-summer feel with the dark hues of December present in each item. What it lacks in colour is made up for with decidedly feminine cuts, sheer fabrics and delicate tassels that make no apology for its sartorial allure.

In their 21 years of enterprise, Shanghai Tang has always put their best foot forward and the fashion forward yet wearable pieces of the Autumn/Winter 2015 collection are the reasons why this brand will always remain relevant for the modern-day woman.
