Perfect Pattern: 8 Times we saw paisley on the runway
We’ve spied a few amazing outfits sporting this old school pattern recently.
A charismatic print of Persian origin dating back to the 18th century, paisley prints have seen small but significant revivals in various womenswear collections over the past few years. As a bold print that embraces complex floral-like swirls and twisted teardrop shapes, the blooming pattern is often depicted in a facet of colours and hints at a more vintage appearance when compared to more contemporary options like polka dots and stripes.
Paisley patterns, while arguably gender neutral, may be a hard print to pull off these days without seeming like you’ve boarded a time machine and stepped back in time, but once in awhile, the eye-catching design rears its timeless head to appear on catwalks.
Here are 8 times we’ve spotted the lovely print being showcased by models strutting their stuff down the runway.
