Get the Look: Giambattista Valli's daytime cocktail ensemble

Dress up for a social weekend afternoon event with style inspiration from the iconic designer.
Every season, Giambattista Valli never fails to give us lust-worthy looks to drool over. At last year's Fall Couture show, we couldn't stop gushing over the shirt-and-maxi-ball-skirt ensembles styled with messy turbans and oversized sunnies. This year however, we're bringing our attention to a look fit for a daytime cocktail party.
The star of the outfit is the dramatic explosion of ostrich feathers on a high-waisted mini skirt, so we picked a little number with a similar but more fine-tuned silhouette from Alice + Olivia. Following suit with the crew neck top on the runway is a studded crepe Balenciaga one that's got 'airy' written all over it. Leaving the arms and legs free of fabric gives off a fun, carefree vibe despite the detail-heavy skirt.
We incorporated some florals to the look with a printed clutch, and complemented the accessory with oversized black frames and minimal but attention-grabbing sequin sandals from shoe maestro Gianvito Rossi.
Slick your hair back into a high ponytail and swipe on a pale pink lipstick, and you're ready for some early afternoon drinks.
