Arguably one of the biggest hits of 2014, the debut of runway sneakers trickled down to the streets faster than ever as many fashionistas got the hint and began rocking this weapon of choice with dresses, skirts and the likes.
Heaven knows we've been awaiting this day long enough as we ditch those towering heights and allow our feet to seek respite while still being as stylish as ever.

Candy colours were a common sight as blush pink and power blue were the hot favourites on runways and the streets as well.

Prints took a different turn in 2014 as instead of printed geometic patterns or intricate embroideries, brush strokes, paint splatters and caricatures were the preferred choice.

After Katy Perry pulled a classic Britney denim ensemble for the AMAs, denim was rampant all over the streets. Distressed, patchworked, or badged - you name it, denim's got it.

As 2014 drew to a resounding close and 2015 officially commenced, we thought it’d be a good idea to take stock of all the It trends that shaped our dressing for the past 365 days, and round up those that made this fashion year nothing short of exhilarating.

While some trends might dissipate before you know it, others might possess a longer lasting effect as it spills over to the new year. We’re lying if we say we aren’t the least bit stoked as to what this year has in store for us. Could it possibly be gingham, suede or perhaps even pigmented hues?
