Once relegated to uniforms for desert patrol officers, Khaki colours are now ensconced to a multi-season wear that everyone must have.

Coming in close after black and white on the list of staple colours is arguably the broad family of Khaki.

Its omnipresence on the runways this year and the years before proves just how cool and effortlessly versatile the colour is. You can wear it in the Spring and the Fall without straying from the seasonal colours; you can wear it in chino pants or casual loose-fitted shirts and still get away looking well put-together.

The word ‘khaki’ itself translates to ‘soil-coloured’ and spans across the colour spectrum of sandy tones and camouflage. Back in the 1800s, khaki was exclusively worn by the British Indian Army. Fast-forward 200 years later, Khaki is ensconced to the wardrobes of fashionistas worldwide.

We bet you relate as one, so head over to our gallery for some Khaki finds to add to your collection!
