Raise your glasses – Glenfiddich has paid tribute to Singapore’s Golden Jubilee with their newly release limited edition whisky.

We are fifty and fabulous and international brands such as Louis Vuitton, Montblanc, Swarovski and Johhny Walker have gotten in on the SG50 action with their own luxe spins to commemorate the nation’s Golden Jubilee.

Now, joining the burgeoning mix of SG50 luxury must-haves is whisky label Glenfiddich with the release of Singapore Anniversary Edition 50 Year Old, a limited-edition bottling of which only five have been produced.

The world’s most awarded Single Malt Scotch whisky’s creation is a rare whisky that has matured for as long as Singapore has been independent, resulting in a rare and valuable liquid featuring notes of aromatic herbs, vanilla toffee, orange marmalade, soft fruits, silky oak tannin and hints of smoke.

You can tell much tender loving care and thought has gone into the creation of this prestigious liquid as each bottle has been individually hand-blown by an expert glass studio and adorned with Scottish silver crafted by sixth generation silversmith, Thomas Fattorini. Tribute has been paid to Singapore as well as the whisky’s country of origin with each bottle subtly featuring the national flowers of both Singapore and Scotland: the Vanda Miss Jaoquim Orchid and the Thistle.

Your limited edition whisky bottle comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by Peter Gordon himself in addition to a leather bound-book detailing the rich history of both Singapore and the whisky company, whose 127 year history in bottle distillery showcases the family’s unwavering commitment to creating spirits of exceptional quality.

Officially unveiled at South Beach Club in an enchanting, high-profile event entitled Glenfiddich 1965, these precious bottles cost SGD66,000 (₤30,000) and will only be sold privately.
