Robertson Quay has a new kid on the block, and you’ll be surprised: it’s a “beachside” cafe.

Yes, you read right. Even though there isn’t a beach in sight at Robertson Quay, there’s a new cafe that will be bringing the Mediterranean straight to its diners. Definitely a good thing, because there can never be too many beach-themed food spots in this bustling city.

Summerlong, which recently threw open its doors last week, is the newest venture of the team behind Neon Pigeon and Fat Prince. Boasting a bright and breezy style with an easy-on-the-eyes white-washed aesthetic, perfected by the riverside location, the cafe will definitely teleport you to an infinitely more relaxing time and place.

What to expect at this foodie haven

Summerlong provides the perfect destination for fresh and healthy F&B options to refuel and rejuvenate you. The peckish can enjoy a slew of snacks, dips and sharing platters, while the seriously hungry can indulge in large mains like the impressive Mediterranean Smoked Pork Ribs, or the signature Persian Fried Chicken.

Weekends bring a whole new vibe — hit the spot for a brunch date and salivate over savoury delights like the Falafel Scotch Egg (garnished with avocado, preserved lemon and cardamom), and sweeter surprises like Blueberry Pancakes (served with lemon butterscotch maple syrup and marscapone).

And don’t worry, drink options are top-notch as well. From a smorgasbord of cocktails (many of them fruity and tropical to fit the beachy theme), to a handful of beers and ciders available on tap and by the bottle, to an impressive coffee program that gives patrons a chance at Bullet Proof Coffee, it’s definitely worth spending a couple of hours unwinding at Summerlong this week.

Summerlong is located at 60 Robertson Quay #01-04 Singapore 238252. Opening hours: Tuesday to Friday (5pm – 12mn); Saturday & Sunday (11:30am – 12mn). Closed on Monday.
