Rokeby
Priding itself as a modern Australian-inspired bistro, Rokeby is one of the best places to grab some great artisan coffee (they make a mean flat white) and hearty brunch fare in a laid-back environment. Like many Aussie cafes, it has a light and airy atmosphere, perfect for a leisurely weekend brunch with friends. Give anything with their superb hollandaise a go - they definitely know how to make it well!

The Hangar
Despite being smack bang in the middle of Bugis on Arab Street, The Hangar is a surprisingly chill and quiet brunch spot. Don’t let that put you off though, their Melbourne-inspired brunch offerings always keep us coming back for more, and their signature coffee specials (like the sparkling orange espresso and avocado and vanilla espresso) always go down easy.

Atlas Coffeehouse
A quick 5-minute walk from the Botanic Gardens, Atlas Coffeehouse is definitely a local favourite. With its unpretentious charm, simple interior and great food, it fills up quickly on a weekend morning. So drag yourself out of bed as early as you can and make your way down, because you’ll definitely want to hit them up for your brunch fix. We recommend the candied bacon buttermilk waffles, with its perfectly crisp and airy waffles and sinfully "atas" bak kwa.

Monniker
If you don’t visit Monniker for its wonderfully creative and distinctive Victorian steampunk interior, at least do it for the food. Though they have a fairly limited brunch menu, they definitely know what they’re doing. All of their bread, cakes, and sauces are made in-house, giving each of their dishes a certain touch that many other cafes lack. If you have to try one dish, give the Chicken Waffle Stack a go; you won’t regret it!

Wimbly Lu Chocolates
Located just a few doors down from Rokeby is Wimbly Lu Chocolates, another favourite of the locals living in the neighbourhood. While they are better known for their desserts (which are seriously amazing), their brunch menu isn’t half bad either. They offer unpretentious renditions of the basics like eggs benedict, crepes, and scrambled eggs on toast, giving you a very homely feeling.
